Day 0: Allons-y, Paris

We all met in Paris to rid of the jet lag and enjoy hot, private showers, and AC before we depart on our little journey.

1

How fortunate we were to meet with our dear friends L & P. P teaches here every summer, so it was wonderful to have a place to stay and get the real Parisian experience.

2

We wandered the city, not stressed about hitting the tourist spots. From Marche Richard Lenoir, one of the most wonderful markets near the Place de la Bastille, to enjoying an evening ride on the Seine, there was neary a complaint.

Especially after enjoying ice cream from Berthillon and wolfing down a bix of macarons from Lauduree.

Lauduree

We could get used to this, but we are going to go get our frites and last loaf of laundry and get the overnight train to Bayonne and then to St. Jean-Pied-du-Port
